Gossypium thurberi is a species in the Gossypium genus. This name is accepted name for the species in the family Malvaceae subfamily Malvoideae, tribe Gossypieae, . It is in the subgenus Houzingenia . This species is found in Sonoran Desert area of northern Mexico and parts of the US state of Arizona.
